Resetting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Now that you have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) set up, you will always be prompted to sign in to your Quik! App account using an MFA access code. If for some reason, you no longer have access to the MFA app or cannot get the correct access code, you'll need to reset the connection.
Note: Unfortunately, our Quik! support team cannot do this on your behalf.
To reset your MFA, please log in to your Quik! App where you will be prompted to input the MFA code. Tap on Click Here under "Do you need to set it up again?"
The next screen will display a pop-up directing you to tap on Send Reset Link, in order to receive an email to reset your Multi-Factor Authentication.
Once you receive the reset email, tap on Reset MFA, which will open up a new window on your browser.
You may see a message saying, "You already have an active MFA connection. If your device does not work, please set up the connection again by clicking the button below.". You can bypass this by tapping on Reset MFA Connection.
On this next screen, be sure you have one of the Authenticators Apps like Google or Microsoft downloaded on your device, then enter your Quik! password and tap Validate.
After you've done the validation, you'll see a QR code or Security Key that you can enter into your authenticator app.
After you've added the QR code or Security Key to your app, you'll see a 6 digit passcode to enter in Quik! Once you enter the code, you will return to the Quik login screen, where you'll be able to re-access your account.
Once MFA is reset. You'll have the option to 'Trust this device for 30 days' on the login screen. That way all other devices will require a one-time password, while your trusted device won't ask for 30 days.
