Overview
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your Quik! account by requiring more than just a password to sign in. It helps protect your account from unauthorized access, even if your password is compromised.
This article explains what MFA is, how it works, and how to set it up in the Quik! App. An MFA setup is required for using certain secure features, such as Client Vault and Account Opening.

What Is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
MFA is a login method that requires two or more verification factors to access your account. Instead of just using your username and password, you’ll also be asked for a one-time code, typically generated by an app on your mobile device.
This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

How Does MFA Work?
Quik! uses Time-Based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) for MFA. A TOTP is a temporary 6-digit code generated by an authentication app like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. These codes refresh every 30–60 seconds and can only be used during that time window.
