Overview
Many organizations maintain their client information in a CRM such as Redtail. One of the big benefits of using the Quik! App is the ability to automatically prefill your CRM data on a form. This means you don't have to manually type information that you already know, and you can use that saved time to focus on what really matters.
By connecting your Redtail CRM account to Quik!, you enable a seamless flow of data from your CRM database directly onto the forms you launch.

Prerequisites
- You must have an active Redtail CRM account.
- You must have a Quik! App user account with permission to manage CRM connections.
How to Connect Redtail

1. Add a New Redtail Connection
- Click on the CRMs icon on your Dashboard.
- Click Add New Connection.
- Choose Redtail from the list of CRM options.
2. Complete the Connection Fields
IMPORTANT: You must have a valid, active Redtail account to connect it to the Quik! App.
Fill out the following fields:
- Connection Name. Name your connection. Since Quik! Supports connecting multiple CRM accounts. Choose a descriptive name so you know which is which. For example, "John’s Redtail Account."
- Enter Username. Enter the username for your Redtail CRM account.
- Enter Password. Enter the password for your Redtail CRM account.
- Connection Visibility. Select whether you want your CRM connection to be Public (available to all users) or Private (available only to you).
3. Test and Save Your Connection
- Click "Test Connection" to ensure the connection to Redtail is working.
- If the username or password is incorrect, the test will fail. If everything is correct, you will see a success message confirming that your connection is valid.

Troubleshooting Redtail Connection Issues
If you run into an error when launching forms with client data from Redtail, try these steps:
- Go to the Add People page and remove the client contact record.
- Try launching your forms again without adding the client. If your forms launch successfully without an error, the issue is likely related to your Redtail CRM connection.
Sometimes, Redtail’s CRM service may temporarily have trouble communicating with your Quik! App. You can check the current status of Redtail’s services here: https://status.redtailtechnology.com/.
If this is the case, the issue often resolves itself after a few minutes. Please try using the same forms and contact us again after a short wait.
If you still encounter the error after retrying, you can skip the 'Add People' step and manually complete the form fields. Although we recognize that this is not ideal, it should enable you to complete your work with minimal disruption. We also encourage you to reach out to Quik! Support so we can assist you further.
