What's the Point?
Default Data (also known as Rep Data, Advisor Data, or My Data) is where you can add information about you and your home office that will be used to prefill forms. Similar to prefilling forms with client data from a CRM, adding Default Data means you don't have to manually type information that you already know, and you can use that saved time to focus on what's important for your business. Only in this case, the data is not coming from a CRM, but from the information you manually entered in the Settings page.
NOTE: This feature is highly specific to users in the Financial Services industry. If you are using the Quik! App in a different industry, you will not need to enter any Default Data, since it will be of no use when filling out forms.
Go to the hamburger menu at the top and select Settings. In the MY DATA section, you will see the Default Data block. Click the ADD RECORD button to show the Advisor Data pop-up.
Here you can enter all of your personal advisor data, including Advisor Info, Advisor Numbers, Personal Office information, Branch Office information, Current Broker/Dealer information, and Prior Broker/Dealer information. All information added here will be used to prefill form fields whenever it is asked. For example, if you are launching a form that asks for the financial advisor's office address, then that information will be automatically prefilled with whatever you have entered in the PERSONAL OFFICE section.
Entering information in Default Data is completely optional, and not necessary to launch forms. However, if you do add a record, then you must at least enter the First Name, Last Name, and Email of the advisor you are adding. This information will allow you to select it on the Launch page, and will allow you to e-sign forms with SIGNiX (assuming you have already connected to a SIGNiX account).
Important: Every rep record that is added by any user of a customer account is available for all other users in the account. In other words, the same pool of reps is displayed for all users in an account, regardless of who originally added the record.
